It’s rare that much interesting happens in York, but when a band plays the York Barbican it always appeals to me to apply to shoot them.

I hadn’t listened to Wolf Alice an awful lot, so I was heading into this show pretty blind in terms of what to expect. However I wasn’t disappointed as the band sounded great live, had a great stage presence, and also brought one of the best lighting guys along on tour with them which meant awesome looking photos were on the cards.

The pit is pretty spacious in The Barbican, but there were quite a few photographers down so moving around without getting in somebody’s way was difficult. But pretty much everyone was professional and looked out for each other which was nice!

As for the performance, Wolf Alice were great. I didn’t know many songs but didn’t get board at any point and their were a good mix of slower and faster songs which kept the crowd on their toes.

Anyway, here’s a few of the shots from the night!
